If you are studying, you can do your thesis work, spend your work experience period here or come to us on a study visit. Lapplands Gymnaisum (Lappland High School) offers several programs tailored to what we do at LKAB. If you’ve recently graduated, you can apply for our popular trainee program, which provides a slightly smoother transition from academic studies to working life and a good start to your career. We want more people to discover our world. Through the LKAB Academy foundation, we participate in and support development projects that strengthen the interest in technology, mathematics and natural sciences in children and adolescents. High school program with LKAB profile
Did you know that there are five high school programs in partnership with LKAB in Kiruna and Gällivare? Four are practical and one theoretical and the programs are a collaboration between Lappland's high school and LKAB. Parts of the teaching are focused on the work we do at LKAB and the mining industry in general. As a student, you will gain a deeper insight into the company and good contacts for the future over your three years of study. After graduation, you are ready to either start working in the industry straight away or prepared for further studies at college and university, with good possibilities for employment in an LKAB team in the future.
