We choose to work with the most competitive and sustainable suppliers in order to create added value for the Group and, in the long term, for LKAB's customers. As part of this work, LKAB has produced a number of basic requirements for suppliers, a Supplier Code of Conduct and a Supplier Handbook.
In order to enter into an agreement with LKAB, suppliers must first accept our basic requirements. Read the basic requirements here. A risk assessment of existing and future suppliers is always performed, based on given criteria. If LKAB considers it necessary, the supplier is contacted for further development of the sustainability work.
Supplier Code of Conduct
LKAB has a Supplier Code of Conduct containing clear requirements within areas such as human rights, working and employment conditions, the environment, emergency preparedness, fire protection and business ethics. The requirements reflect our fundamental values, as well as external stakeholders' expectations regarding the long-term, sustainable development of LKAB's business.
The Supplier Handbook
The aim of the Supplier Handbook is to provide suppliers with an overall picture of our rules. These rules cover all suppliers who carry out work within LKAB's operations, both within and outside of our industrial areas. Feel free to read through the Supplier Handbook to help get our collaboration off to a good start.
